The Shawn Carter Scholarship Fund (SCSF) is a scholarship program designed to facilitate students seeking to access good and quality education with the necessary funding they need. This scholarship is especially for students who are driven and motivated to further their education.
The program alleviates the financial burden students face while seeking to pursue higher education. This innovative program has helped several students access quality education. The SCSF provides grants paid directly to the beneficiaries’ chosen institutions. The award covers students’ tuition expenses as well as other educational and miscellaneous expenses such as textbooks, lab fees, living costs, accommodation, and travel costs.
However, to be part of this scholarship program candidates are expected to commit to community service and also help other young aspiring individuals to achieve their dreams while serving as mentors to younger SCFC beneficiaries.
To participate in this scholarship opportunity, candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:
•Candidates must be students pursuing their first undergraduate degree.
•Candidates must be high school seniors
•Candidates are to ensure they have obtained GED diplomas before applying.
•Students must be enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year undergraduate program.
•Students enrolled in vocational or trade schools are also eligible.
•Candidates must be United States citizens or permanent residents of the United States.
•Candidates must not be older than 25 years old.
•Candidates must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
•Candidates’ family income must not exceed $75,000.

The SCSF awards students nationwide as long as they have the desire to pursue higher education. Candidates must be hardworking, determined, and resilient. Aspirants must have made long-lasting positive impacts in their communities or societies.
The Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation provides financial aids ranging from $1,500 to $2,500 to eligible candidates. These awards can be renewed each year till candidates’ graduation. Awards can be used to pay for tuition fees, books, lab fees, food and travel expenses, and costs of living.
Candidates can renew the scholarship by applying again each year after admission will receive financial support from college admission to graduation.
The scholarship is open to all united states high school seniors and will be hosted in the United States. Each Shawn Carter Scholars will be awarded $1,500 to $2,500 annually.
