Are you a student in the United States seeking to further your education in a prestigious university or college? Then apply for the Coolidge Scholarship, an annually awarded presidential scholarship that awards tuition, and other student expenses for up to four years. Students from all accredited universities in the United States are eligible to apply for the scholarship.

The Coolidge Scholars Program is led by the Calvin Coolidge Presidential Foundation. Calvin Coolidge was the 30th president of the United States, during his years as president, Calvin Coolidge devoted his position to maintaining the economy of the United States and made significant accomplishments in the academic sector.

The scholarship will be awarding a cash award of up to $33,000 to a small number of selected beneficiaries for tuition and other expenses. Accommodation, books and supplies are also covered by the scholarship.

Beneficiaries of the Coolidge Scholarship will spend the summer before their senior year of high school will spend several exposure days at the picturesque birthplace of the President, Plymouth Notch, Vt. Candidates are sent there to gain exposure and foreknowledge about the former president and where he was birthed. Candidates will be sent back to Plymouth Notch for a week each summer while in college.

Only a select few students will be chosen as Coolidge Scholars, however, some beneficiaries will be chosen as “Coolidge Senators” and are invited to participate in an all-expenses-paid Senators Summit to take place in Washington D.C. This summit gives beneficiaries the opportunity to meet other brilliant students across the nation and learn more about President Coolidge.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Coolidge Scholarship program, candidates must meet the following criteria:

•Aspirants must be United States citizens or permanent residents of the United States.
•Candidates are urged to submit all the required documents and certifications before the appointed deadline.
•Candidates must not be related to any member employee of the Coolidge Foundation.
•Aspirants must be intending to enrol in a full-time four years course at an accredited University in the United States.
•Only high school juniors are eligible for the scholarship. Juniors who are enrolled in a few classes are also eligible to join. However, high school seniors are prohibited from applying.

Application Procedures

To participate in the Coolidge Scholarship Program, candidates are to submit the following items:

•The Application Form.
•School Transcript
•SAT/ACT Score Cards, PSAT Score.
•An essay which contains a maximum of 600 words and another containing maximum of 800 words. The essays must entail the candidates’ achievements and reasons why they should be chosen for the Scholarship.
•Candidates must submit two recommendation letters, one from teachers and one from non-relatives in their communities.
•A resume not more than two pages listing candidate’s experiences from Jobs taken. Candidates are to also include his/her chosen career path.
•Shortlisted candidates will be notified and interviewed.

Application Deadline

Coolidge Scholarship is open for applications from October 2021 to February 2022. Candidates who wish to participate in this program are advised to stay ahead of the application deadline.

All applicants will be notified of their results in the early summer. All finalists will be informed via their phones.
