The Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship is an innovative scholarship program that was created to empower, inspire, and educate young aspiring students from underserved communities to pursue a career in computer science.

Amazon is committed to improving the lives of people living in underrepresented communities using science and technology as the driving force. Amazon is investing $3 million to fund outstanding computer science learning opportunities for an estimated 1 million students and teachers in the country.

Amazon is collaborating with top-level organizations like First Robotics Canada, Canada Learning Code, Kids Code Jeunesse, and TakingITGlobal to bring this agenda to life.

Apart from the scholarship and internship program, Amazon Future Engineers is giving students from diverse communities and schools around the globe access to computer science educational opportunities that will allow them to conduct research, work on their projects, learn programming and coding, and learn how to solve some technical problems. Awards

Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship is providing scholarships worth up to $40,000 for eligible students to further their education. Amazon is also giving its beneficiaries the opportunity to learn comprehensively at a paid summer internship program at Amazon.

Eligibility Criteria

•Must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States authorized to work in the States.
•Must be a high school senior in the United States who has completed or is currently studying a computer science course.
•You can also apply if you haven’t studied or taken a formal computer science course but have learned on your own.
•You must be planning to pursue a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or other computer science-related fields.
•Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0.
•The scholarship is need-based therefore candidates must demonstrate financial need.

Application Deadline

The application for the Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship commences on November 1st, 2021, and will be put on hold on January 25, 2022.
